Fiber Touch
Sep 2020 – Dec 2020

Fiber Touch is an attachable, passive accessory that enhances the tactile interaction of smart devices by overlaying a fur-like physical interface onto capacitive touch screens. The system utilizes structured bundles of optic fibers to optically transmit the display's pixels, integrated with fine steel wires that conduct the user's body capacitance to register touch input. By functioning purely through these passive mechanisms, it delivers rich, physical haptic feedback without requiring any external power, internal circuitry, or software modifications.
